Battle of Falmouth Harbor, Cape Cod, 1779

Two hundred and twenty years ago, 50 men from the local Falmouth Company
of Minute & Militia defended the beach head from 200 British in 4 or 5
tall ships. They prevented the British from landing and burning the
Town of Falmouth, Massachusetts to the ground "for being so rash".

The town was burned at a later time.
